COVID-19: the infection recognized as an occupational disease for affected caregivers

During his press conference on Monday March 23, the Minister of Solidarity and Health had announced: " To caregivers who fall ill, I say it: the coronavirus will be systematically et automatically recognized as an occupational disease and that's the least of it. There is no debate on this as there will never be any debate as soon as the measures announced will go in the direction of the greatest possible protection of those who are on the ground.". Olivier Véran also recalled “ that our society cannot do without the protection of caregivers "And he paid tribute to" the commitment of caregivers to their patients" page (in French).

Words confirmed the same day by the Prime Minister, Édouard Philippe, during his intervention on TF20's 1 p.m. news: " For all these caregivers who fall ill, the coronavirus will be recognized as an occupational disease ».
